Abstract of Webinar
In this annual scientific symposium, we are honoured to have 3 world-renowned speakers to share with us their knowledge, experience and insights around the theme of advances in paediatric oncology. Prof Hubert Caron will share the scientific approach to assess drugs developed for adults for their paediatric potential and opportunities, as well as the clinical aspects of developing drugs in trials for children with cancer. Prof Nai Kong Cheung will update us on recent advances in neuroblastoma management. Prof Wing Leung will share his insights in cell and gene therapy as applied in paediatric haematology and oncology. Our Study Group members (also paediatric oncologists of Hong Kong Children’s Hospital) will also present on advances in various pediatric oncology topics, including recent childhood cancer epidemiology and statistics, refractory metastatic osteosarcoma, infantile high grade glioma, acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and haploidentical haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. There is also a section of free paper presentation on relevant topics. Multidisciplinary professionals involved in the management of children with cancer will certainly benefit from this highly educational seminar.
